Filming (Imagine)

Ficción, teatro, música, animación y nuevos formatos tendrán cabida en la comunidad Imagine que pretende hacer realidad proyectos, más allá del algoritmo.

Imagine was presented last week within the framework of the Vitoria Television Festival (FesTVal) by some of its members, such as the actor Asier Etxeandía, the writer Javier Sierra, or the journalists Iñaki Gabilondo, Juan Zavala or Natalia Sprenger, and by creators such as the film director Alberto Evangelio, the screenwriter Jorge Navarro de Lemus or the creative Enrique Ordoñez, and today it did so at an informative breakfast offered by its CEO, Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas.

This initiative was born with the objective of giving help, support and accompaniment to all creators in their audiovisual projects, beyond the algorithm. The community offers new and established artists and creators the opportunity to develop and disseminate their ideas, working as a project accelerator, as well as a window for innovative and differential content.

"Imagine is open to everyone who wants to create projects of any type and with absolute creative freedom, but making the rights also belong to them. Use the resources we have now: new creators, from the youngest to the most veteran," Cortés-Cavanillas said during the presentation.

The Imagine Community will receive projects through the web lacomunidadimagine.com, will study them, share this analysis with the creators, and if they are viable, will carry them out. "We want to produce between 15 and 30 contents a year," said Cortés-Cavanillas, "many people have ideas but don't know where to go. We seek to fulfill people's dreams, the life of the creator is very lonely," he stressed.

“We want to make it easier for large platforms to have different projects,” he added, “we want to be their crazy department.”

Accelerating projects

As an accelerator, the Imagine Community will push projects in different phases: development, production, post-production and distribution. It will also have Forums for exchanging experiences for creators, and live masterclasses with renowned professionals. Imagine also becomes a content window for professional markets.

“When they told me that they wanted to create a community that supported creators, that helped them have their image rights and give a boost to hundreds of people who are looking for the next step to fulfill their dream, I had no doubts,” he said. Iñaki Gabilondo about your support of this Community of creators.

The new platform collects content from both established professionals (directors, screenwriters, musicians or actors) and new creators. The community already has important projects in the field of fiction and feature film Ego; a psychological thriller starring Maia Pedraza, and Lobo, the first film written by actress Marian Álvarez, which is currently in the post-production phase. Likewise, she has developed various documentaries such as Ukraine: Women in war in collaboration with Movistar Plus+ or The critic acquired by TCM/Warner and will be presented at the 2022 San Sebastián Festival.

In addition, it has differential products such as Save, a series of short episodes, starring Pedro Casablanc, Zombie Zone, a reality competition filmed as fiction, or Press Start, a fictional series where the best Tekken players come together to face each other in the most important tournament in history.

Music, theater and dance also occupy a prominent place in this Community. Mastodon“, a documentary about the first concert of the tour of the group composed of Asier Etxeandia and Enrico Barbaro, or Sacred Heart 45 Theater in its purest, innovative and immersive state, in a real apartment, brought to audiovisual, are some of the bets of this launch.
