Telemadrid begins recording 'El camping', a pioneering docu-reality about social integration produced by Mediapro

With a commitment to inclusion and diversity from a fresh and positive perspective, Telemadrid has started recording 'El camping', an original documentary produced by The Mediapro Studio.

The campsite, presented by Elena Furiase, proposes a ten-day coexistence in a campsite in the Community of Madrid between six people with Down syndrome, who will share activities, community tasks and daily experiences.

The format, conceived with a vocation for public service, seeks bring closer the reality of people with intellectual and physical disabilities to the general public, moving away from clichés and showing the strength of coexistence and empathy as drivers of integration. Through the daily lives of the participants, the program focuses on the capabilities, cooperation and authenticity of its protagonists.

The campsite It also marks the return of Elena Furiase to television, in a close and participatory role. The actress will accompany the protagonists throughout the experience, guiding the dynamics and sharing with them moments of emotion, humor and learning.

With this new format, Telemadrid reaffirms its commitment to content that combine entertainment and social awareness, in line with programs like That is not asked, also produced by Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio), recognized with the 2020 Ondas Award and the 2018 Iris Jury Award for its innovative and respectful treatment of diversity.
