The Collective Memory of Spanish Cinema project now has more than fifty testimonies
One year after its presentation, the Collective Memory of Spanish Cinema project, promoted by the Film Academy, continues to grow and add testimonies from personalities in our cinematography who value the different professions in this industry.
Names such as Emilio Martínez Lázaro, Jaime Chávarri, Pedro del Rey, Javier Aguirresarobe, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Katrina Bayonas, Pepita Morales, Miguel Rellán, María Luisa San José, Alfonso Pino, Petra Martínez and Enrique Cerezo have joined this year in the Collective Memory of Spanish Cinema, which already comprise a total of 51 interviews, 23 new ones generated since the reactivation of the project in 2024 and 28 recovered from the 2016 archive.
Furthermore, in line with the objective of reclaiming all the professions of cinema, in these months the presence of all professions that integrate the 15 specialties from the Film Academy (animation, direction, art direction, photography direction, production direction, costume design, documentary, special effects, script, acting, makeup and hairdressing, editing, music, production and sound) and others linked to the sector such as actors' representatives have been included.
The Academy continues to work so that more and more veteran figures from the different professions of our cinema become part of this living archive and that their voice and memories are preserved and disseminated as they deserve, through this initiative.
