The R Summit is back, a meeting in Valencia to rediscover the video capabilities of the Canon ecosystem
The EOS R system stands as the protagonist of the R Summit of Canon, an event that will take place in Valencia on November 22 and will bring together professionals from the sector, Canon ambassadors and experts in different visual disciplines.
Throughout the day, the assistants will be able to enjoy seven master classes of 45 minutes in which videographers, photographers and creators will share their vision, projects and work processes. The presentations will offer a diverse and current look about the most inspiring image trends, ranging from sports or wedding photography, to creation of video, travel or documentary content.
In addition to the talks, attendees will be able to experience first-hand the technology of Canon in the different interactive areas of the event. in the area Touch & Try, the public will be able to try out the EOS R System cameras and lenses, as well as professional video equipment and vlogging tools. For its part, the area Check & Clean will offer a free sensor cleaning service for Canon cameras, for which one camera body per person will be accepted.
Access to the R Summit is free, prior online registration. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email that they must present at the event entrance.
Master class agenda
14:30h a 15:15h – “The EOS R System for action and sports photography”, by Jaime de Diego
During this presentation, De Diego will explain how to adapt workflows to a mirrorless camera and get the most out of the focusing system and shooting speed to capture the most extreme images.
15:30h a 16:15h – “The excitement of a festival”, by Nerea Coll
Coll will share his experience portraying the history of a festival. He will tell how he manages to connect with everything that happens around him to capture the essence of each moment, adapting to the rhythm of the space and the spontaneity of the live performance.
4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. – “The art of change: Inspiration in wedding photography”, by Serafin Castillo
In this talk, Castillo invites you to discover how the life of a wedding photographer is a constant journey of change and evolution. He will share how searching for daily inspiration, adapting to new trends, and connecting with each partner transform not only his work, but also his way of seeing the world.
5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. – “Adventure photography stories”, by Gon Pasquier
During this presentation, Pasquier will take attendees through some of his latest adventures, inviting them to discover the beauty of our planet. Through his images, he seeks to awaken a deep love for the Earth.
6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. – “From zero to travel photographer: content creation as a tool”, by Alex Sanchez
In his presentation, Sánchez will share his personal path towards fulfilling a dream: to live traveling and dedicate himself to photography. With a close and honest tone, it will seek to inspire those who feel the same concern about creating, traveling or reinventing themselves.
7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. – “Creating stories to change the world", by Ofelia de Pablo and Javier Zurita
De Pablo and Zurita will show how audiovisual narratives can drive action and social transformation. A look at the creative process behind stories that raise awareness.
8:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. – “The Footprint of Clay”, by Rodrigo Marquez
In his presentation, Marquez will focus on his project The Footprint of Clay. During the session the documentary will be shown and we will talk about how the idea came about, how the filming was developed and what the collaboration with Canon consisted of. You will also share details about the equipment used and your technical expertise.
