The workshop 'Current 4K HDR production needs for film and television. Complete workflow from lens to broadcast' will take place in Seville on November 10 and 11.

Canon will be present in the second edition of 4K-UHD Summit, which will be held at the Hotel Ribera de Triana in Seville on November 10 and 11 and will bring together the world's most important companies in 4K-UHD technology and content.

This year, the meeting will focus on HDR, UHD-LIVE and virtual reality and will have a complete program of conferences and workshops, which will be given by top-level speakers from the main international companies.

Canon will hold the workshop Current 4K HDR production needs for film and television. Complete workflow from lens to broadcast on November 10 and 11 at 10:30, 12:30 and 16:30 in room 408 located on the fourth floor of the riverside hotel. Taught by Carlos Castán, Account Manager – Pro Imaging Group – IP Broadcast Dept. and by Luis Ochoa, colorist and director of 709 Media Room, it will begin with an explanation of what 4K HDR is in film and television. It will discuss consumption and 4K HDR content and will talk about professional monitors for color and filming, cameras for cinematography and television, and 4K HDR optics.

The workshop will end with a “touch and try” in which attendees will be able to test the available Canon equipment, including the EOS C700, for the first time in Spain, a camcorder prepared for the 4K generation that allows large production companies and broadcast professionals to record easily and intuitively, with a wide dynamic range and excellent quality.

In addition, they will also be able to learn first-hand about the functionalities of Canon's reference monitors, including, and also for the first time in our country, the DP-V2420, a 24-inch, high-luminance monitor, ideal for the creation of High Dynamic Range (HDR) content that, developed in response to the different needs that arise in cutting-edge film and broadcast production workflows, is compatible with the new ITU-R standard.
