Zeta Studios consolidates its international expansion with 'The English Tutor', a thriller starring Ed Helms
Gaz Alazraki directs 'The English Tutor', a spy thriller starring Ed Helms ('The Office') that represents the great international leap of Zeta Studios.
The English Tutor, a character-driven espionage thriller set in Mexico City, promises to show a completely new, dramatic side to Ed Helms. The film, scripted by Michael LeSieur (You, me and now… Dupree), highlights the strategy of Zeta to expand its catalog with high-value content in English and with a clear global projection.
In production by Zeta Studios, there will be Antonio Asensio, CEO of the company, and the director of business development, Ignacio Díaz. Among the producers are Mike Falbo, of Pacific Electric; Jon Kanak, who negotiated the deal and represents Zeta Studios in the United States, and Alisa Taker by Maquina Vega. Although specific plot details are being kept under wraps, Zeta Studios has confirmed that filming is scheduled to begin in 2026, mainly in locations in Mexico City and Spain.
