Sira Filming (Antena 3)

The literary universe of María Dueñas comes to life again with the start of filming of 'Sira', the new big fiction bet from Antena 3 and Atresplayer, with an original production by Buendía Studios, through its subsidiary Buendía Estudios Bizkaia, in collaboration with Atresmedia y Netflix.

In the long-awaited continuation of The Time Between Seams, one of the biggest television phenomena of the last decade, Adriana Ugarte reprises the role of Sira Quiroga, immersing viewers once again in a story marked by emotion, intrigue, fashion and adventure. The plot is set at a decisive moment: the end of the Second World War. In a world trying to rebuild itself after the conflict, Sira must reinvent herself once again to survive and protect what she loves most. Her journey will take her through cities like Jerusalem, London, Madrid and Tangier, in a network of espionage, secrets, new identities and missions that will test her ingenuity, her courage and her heart.

Filming will take place in various national and international locations, among them Bizkaia, Madrid and Morocco, which will recreate the historical settings present in the novel. The production maintains the careful aesthetics, the level of detail and the visual ambition that characterized The time between seams.

The cast brings together faces already known to fans of the story (Peter Vives, Rubén Cortada, Carlos Santos, Carlos Olalla and Francesc Garrido) along with new international additions such as Jeremy Neumark Jones, Orla O'Leary and Kathleen Gati. The special collaborations of Elvira Mínguez, Darío Grandinetti and Cecilia Suárez also stand out.

The project has Montse Garcia as fiction director of Atresmedia, Sonia Martinez y Paloma Molina as executive producers, and Maria Duenas as creative executive producer. The literary adaptation is carried out by Tatiana Rodríguez, together with a script team made up of Irene Rodríguez, Alba Lucío and Flora González.

The direction is in the hands of Marina Seresesky and Olga Osorio, with a first-class technical team that includes Ruben Liñán (Production management), Juana Jiménez and Óscar Durán (Direction of Photography), Juan Botella (production design), Usue Peña (clothing) and Irene Blecua and Ascen Marchena (assembly), among others. Caesar Benito signs the original soundtrack.

A story that moves again

The new fiction takes up the novel Sira, published by Editorial Planeta and represented by Scenic Rights. After abandoning her collaboration with the British Secret Service and starting a new life with Marcus, an unexpected event puts Sira in an extreme situation just when she is about to become a mother. Forced to reinvent herself again, she will enter a world of political conspiracies, international glamor and clandestine missions.

The project aims to maintain the spirit that made The time between seams into a global success: an exciting story, a careful historical setting, spectacular costumes and an immersive visual narrative.

With the start of filming for Sira, Atresmedia reaffirms its commitment to quality fiction and its commitment to large productions capable of transcending borders.
