Onza Entertainment begins filming the third season of 'The Ministry of Time'
The new installment will arrive on Spanish Television in 2017 under the direction of Marc Vigil along with Abigaíl Schaaff and Jorge Dorado and the incorporation of other guest directors.
The Ministry of Time filming of its third installment began this Monday at the Spanish Theater in Madrid. The most awarded Spanish series in recent decades, winner among others of two Ondas Awards, several Iris Awards and the Panorama Award for best technical execution, will arrive on Spanish Television in 2017.
With the recovery of Pacino as an agent of the Ministry, the mysterious intertemporal doors will open again to transport us to other times in which the patrollers of time will face disturbing and surprising episodes in our history whose alteration could change our present... and that of the world.
A new season in which The Ministry of Time It will confront themes such as the Cold War, the Madrid of Goya and the Duchess of Alba, the conquest of America, the splendor of the Golden Age or the decline of Spain at the end of the 19th century.
On their travels, Ministry agents will encounter great historical figures from all eras such as Goya, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, the Duchess of Alba or international personalities such as Simón Bolívar... and the Beatles themselves. Lovers of the Seventh Art, you will meet the great Alfred Hitchcock (played by José Angel Egido) on his visit to the San Sebastián festival in 1958 and you will ensure that the copy of Viridiana arrives at the Cannes festival, circumventing all censorship... and avoiding new and dangerous enemies.
Filming in new locations
The TVE production in collaboration with Onza Entertainment will expand its borders this season, filming in new locations outside of Madrid and its surroundings. Castellón or Zaragoza will be the first provinces to host the filming of the ministerial team.
Cultural reference of the moment, there are many institutions that already collaborate with The Ministry of Time. Thus, the filming of the first chapter (number 22 of the saga) began this Monday at the emblematic Teatro Español, thanks to the support of the Culture Area of the Madrid City Council, which has facilitated the opening of the space that will travel in time to receive the visit of Alfred Hitchcock...
The Ministry of Time It will continue to be directed by Marc Vigíl, along with Abigaíl Schaaff and Jorge Dorado, and will incorporate other guest directors whose names will be announced in the coming months.
