Barcelona hosts from December 1 to 3 Animate 2025, fourth edition of the think tank that will analyze European animation with a transversal view that covers the entire value chain of the sector and all the territories of the continent.

Throughout the three days, representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, next to other industry players from 10 European countries, including associations and federations of producers, public policy makers, audiovisual support funds or television stations, will create different working groups with the aim of extracting conclusions on the current state of the world of animation.

As a novelty, the fourth edition of the event will incorporate a new work space dedicated to the project Soul of the World, an R&D program funded by Horizon Europe to promote European animation, in which the needs of the sector will be studied in depth and studies and activities of interest will be offered for the entire value chain of the animation sector in Europe. Likewise, Animar 2025 will host for the first time a public outreach session, which will take place on December 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the La Salle auditorium that will include a round table on the conclusions of the working groups “European regulatory framework: preparing the future” and “Co-productions: promoting the European animation industry”, and a final set of recommendations for next year, proposed by Animation in Europe, the European animation federation. Those interested in attending can register, here.

Animate 2025 is an initiative of BOW y ProAnimats, curated by Animation in Europe, supported by ICEC, ICEX, ICAA and Anima Mundi, and in collaboration with BACK y The Hall.
