LiveModeTV brings the 2026 World Cup Draw to YouTube

Coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw LiveModeTV was broadcast live on December 5 from the chroma studio of wTVision in Lisbon, in a format conceived for YouTube that combined a totally virtual set, several live signals and some of the most recognized personalities of Portuguese football on screen.

Streamed on YouTube channel @LiveModeTV_PT, the program was structured in three moments (a pre-show, the live Draw and a reaction post-show) designed to keep the audience hooked from the first comments to the final analysis. In the studio, the youtuber and streamer Movemind (Diogo da Silva) He hosted the broadcast, accompanied by former international Ricardo Quaresma and world futsal legend Ricardinho, with expert analysis by Tomás da Cunha and Mário Cagica. Together, they analyzed each group, reacted in real time to what the Draw had in store for Portugal, and turned the event into clear stories for a digital audience.

All production was carried out from wTVision's facilities in Lisbon using wVSet, a chroma studio wrapped in a virtual set designed and operated entirely by wTVision. Although the on-air graphics package was developed by LiveMode, wTVision was in charge of the technical and operational backbone live, integrating the graphic platform Flowics (Vizrt) of the client in the wTVision workflow, while Studio CG managed the broadcast of the video clips and editorial elements throughout the entire program. The result was a studio environment where presenters could move naturally between analysis, videos and live reaction, with the virtual set responding in real time.

Behind the scenes, the program required precise coordination from multiple external sources. The wTVision engineering team led all the technical preparation, managing the reception and integration of a satellite signal and an SRT signal from the official coverage of the Draw, in addition to a third signal live from the FIFA red carpet. All signals were monitored, synchronized and integrated into the virtual workflow, ensuring that each transition between studio, Draw and red carpet was fluid for the audience.

For LiveMode, this Sweepstakes production marks one of the first major milestones for LiveModeTV in Portugal, the company's new digital sports channel and its first own project outside of Brazil. Based on the successful CazéTV model, LiveModeTV will broadcast all of Portugal's matches at the FIFA World Cup 2026, plus a top match each day of the tournament (34 matches in total), for free on YouTube, with local talent leading the coverage and a format aimed at young, hyper-connected fans.

The collaboration between wTVision and LiveMode around the Giveaway also points to a broader change in the way premium football content is produced and distributed in Portugal. LiveModeTV adds a free, online-only tier that brings key games to a new audience on YouTube. In that context, wTVision's virtual production capabilities help bridge the gap between content creator-centric formats and broadcast-level operations.

“For us, this project is a clear demonstration of how we seek to inspire the media with total control, in practice,” adds Ferreira. "We have a digitally native sports brand, a free World Cup window on YouTube and a generation of fans that expect interactivity and authenticity. Our role is to provide the studio, graphics operation and technical infrastructure that allows LiveModeTV to focus on the conversation, with the assurance that every signal, every clip and every virtual camera movement is under control."

As LiveModeTV moves towards its complete coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026, this Draw special from the wTVision studio in Lisbon is consolidated as a first statement of intent: to narrate live football with great visual impact, produced with broadcast standards and designed from the ground up for the screens, habits and expectations of today's Portuguese fans.
