Broadcast Solutions buys PMT and merges it with Egripment to reinforce its commitment to special cameras

PMT Professional Motion Technology, a company specializing in specialty camera systems and rental, has been purchased by integrator and service provider Broadcast Solutions, becoming part of the group and absorbing the entire structure of Egripment.

Broadcast Solutions will take advantage of the extensive experience of PMT to lay a solid foundation for Innovative products and services in special camera systems. The group aims to further expand its market position in the region GSA in the sports productions, entertainment and live events, while offering those of greater inventory, greater availability of camera motion systems and one unified rental network. PMT will also provide support to international productions within the group.

The brand Egripment will remain an integral part of the new and strengthened group through its headquarters in the Netherlands through its division of rent. In addition, the brand's engineering and production team will be responsible for develop and adapt new products specifically for the needs of the rental market.

A new structure for PMT and Egripment

With a team of 20 employees, PMT Professional Motion Technology will continue to serve its customers from its current German headquarters in Hamburg and Cologne. The acquisition is accompanied by a reorganization of the company's management structure. Christian Gardener, former CEO and shareholder of PMT, will hand over his responsibilities to the CEO Maximilian Breder already Philip from Senden, who will assume the role of chief operating officer with responsibility for sales and marketing. Gärtner will remain closely involved with PMT as an experienced consultant, actively supporting the transition to ensure continuity and stability.

Technical leadership will be in charge of Tim Ritter as technical director and Martin Dreesbach as CTO for Egripment and PMT, focusing on technology and innovation at both companies. In his role, Martin will work closely with Tim Ritter and will continue to contribute his experience within Egripment as R&D Director, in addition to acting as development partner for the office of the technical director of Broadcast Solutions Group.

Philip from Senden, director of operations PMT, is confident that its acquisition by Broadcast Solutions will allow it to offer “a broader portfolio and top quality service.” Martin Dreesbach, CTO of Egripment and PMT, adds that the collaboration makes “a lot of sense” as both companies have shared the market for years: “By working together and as part of the strong Broadcast Solutions Group, we can better support our customers, with greater capacity and international reach.
