Broadcast Solutions designs and integrates a mobile unit with twelve cameras for AzamTV in Tanzania

The German Broadcast Solutions has supplied to Azam Media (Tanzania) a new mobile unit, flyaway kits and support systems that will support world-class productions throughout Africa.

Azam Media, popularly known as AzamTV, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, provides extensive coverage of sports and infotainment events across Africa.

The project consisted of building a mobile unit equipped with a dozen cameras, including a mixer and a matrix, at the integrator's headquarters in Bingen am Rhein (Germany). Ross Video, repetition systems EVS XT-GO and an audio console Theirs mc236. The contract also included 12 cameras Sony HDC 3100 con Canon lenses, along with two mini cameras Dream Chip for POV applications.

As part of the same contract, three production kits were also delivered in separate flight cases. Designed to house five cameras each, they will be used to cover local soccer leagues. Broadcast Solutions' smart, compact design also includes replay servers Newtek 3PLAY, ensuring coverage is as elegant and professional as modern audiences expect.

To provide return links from remote locations, three flyaway C-band satellite uplinks. Finally, Broadcast Solutions designed and built a specialized van for OUR, which includes access to EVS servers, and has been built to FIFA standards to accommodate the growing number of certified VAR officials in the region.
