Broadcast Solutions integrates the new mobile unit of the Slovak Televízia Markíza

The new unit will serve two main purposes for Televízia Markíza. It will be used both in large productions with up to 16 cameras and in small productions. It will also serve as backup and disaster recovery for the studies.

El broadcaster eslovaco Television Markíza ha encargado al integrador alemán Broadcast Solutions its new mobile unit that marks the completion of its transition to HD. The new unit is based on Broadcast Solutions' Alphaline A12 model and can work on productions with up to 16 cameras. Alphaline is a variant of the Streamline family of mobile units of which more than 40 units have been built around the world. With Alphaline, Broadcast Solutions offers customers additional possibilities in terms of custom bodywork, workplace design and technical equipment.

In collaboration with the Slovak systems integrator Elektonika, Broadcast Solutions will offer Televízia Markíza a mobile unit designed to respond to a wide variety of productions. A second important objective in this UM is its use as a disaster recovery solution for enterprise studies. An additional novelty in the Alphaline type units is the use of the MediorNet system of Riedel as a decentralized routing of the signal and the backbone of communications, achieving the flexibility that the client demanded for this project.

Maximum flexibility

This new unit will offer Televízia Markíza maximum flexibility and a future-proof production tool to be used in large format production with up to 16 cameras such as Let’s Dance, as well as on chart-shows or sporting events.

Matthias Settele, CEO of Televízia Markíza, highlights that “this mobile unit is the missing link to complete our conversion to HD and is an important step to increase our viewer base, for example with our own productions such as Let’s Dance. In addition, it gives us the flexibility to produce all types of events, which makes the company more independent.”
