RTVE wants to become the Hispanic leg of the European cultural channel ARTE

RTVE prevé cerrar 2025 con un resultado operativo superior a los 45 millones de euros. Esta recuperación económica permitirá impulsar nuevos proyectos estratégicos como el lanzamiento del canal cultural de RTVE, previsto para finales de junio, fruto de un acuerdo con ARTE.

En su primera comparecencia del año ante la comisión de control parlamentario de RTVE, Jose Pablo Lopez ha anunciado que, tras dos ejercicios económicos en los que la Corporación cerró sus cuentas con resultados negativos, las cuentas del ejercicio 2025 van a reflejar un resultado operativo superior a los 45 millones de euros, according to the provisional closure. To advance this project, last week he held a meeting with the director of the ARTE channel in France and vice president of the channel, considering a collaboration so that RTVE becomes ARTE Spain. “We want RTVE to be the Hispanic leg within the European ARTE project,” he highlighted.

The programming will revolve around performing arts and theatre, Spanish cinema, classical music and opera, new musical endeavors and in-house production. “My intention is for RTVE's cultural channel to last,” said the president of RTVE.
