Council of the TV Academy

The Council of the Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts awards the Iris 2025 Awards for the best program to 'El campo es Nuestro' (Aragón TV) and 'En Compañía' (Castilla-La Mancha Media). With more than a thousand programs broadcast, being the leader in its segment with a 20% share and after having received the Ondas Award for the best proximity content in 2025, El campo es Nuestros, Aragon TV It gives voice to the primary sector and defends and praises the work of Aragonese farmers and ranchers. The protagonists are young people, well prepared, who show their daily lives in the countryside and share their lives with the viewers. This makes the format the first agricultural reality show in the country, a program that follows the lives of its protagonists, shows the love of a land, its roots and its traditions and highlights the work of a fundamental and necessary sector for daily life.

In company

In Company is the program that, from Monday to Friday starting at 3:45 p.m., is presented by Ramón García and Gloria Santoro on CMM and that in 2026 celebrates its 10 years of uninterrupted broadcast. Helping by entertaining has been the main objective of this format that tries to put an end to the unwanted loneliness of those who sit on the set every afternoon.

Since it premiered in May 2016, more than 5,000 people have visited the set of the program and almost 3,600 have said goodbye to unwanted loneliness. In all this time, almost 1,800 couples have been formed.

Converted is one of the flagships of CMM programming, In Company Also highlighted for valuing older people, as well as the traditions and customs of the region.

Gaditano from Ubrique, is undoubtedly one of the most beloved and emblematic presenters in Andalusia. Modesto Barragán is the absolute leader in its broadcast slot with Andalusia Direct, the longest-running television program in Spain with more than 7,000 programs. His beginnings took place in Cádiz, a province in which he presented news programs on both radio and television, and was also Territorial Director of RTVA in Cádiz from 2000 to 2009.

On Canal Sur Televisión he has been presenter of the New Year's Eve Chimes on seven occasions; director and presenter of the Cádiz Carnival broadcasts for 36 years and of the legendary program The rhythm of tangai; creator and host of the program Party Andalusia and of course Andalusia Direct, a program that he has presented since 2010 with unquestionable audience success. Pure talent, versatile, close, empathetic, with a vocation for public service, committed to Andalusia, tireless worker, virtues of which Modesto Barragán has once again demonstrated well with the coverage of the Adamuz railway tragedy and the effects of the storm in Andalusia. A whole life dedicated to his passion, communicating and telling about the things that happen in Andalusia.

At this same meeting the Academy Council also granted the Jesús Hermida Lifetime Achievement Award, the Institution's highest award, to the actress Carmen Machi in recognition of a career linked to the television medium.
The Iris Awards will be presented on February 16 at the Teatro Real and will be broadcast exclusively by Movistar Plus+
The Iris Awards have the institutional support of the Ministry of Culture, the Community of Madrid, through Film Madrid, and the Madrid City Council, through the Madrid Film Office.
