Teradek introduces RF-X, a solution to eliminate manual switches from sets

The RF-X Auto Switcher, a self-defined tool Teradek (To be seen) as “revolutionary”, comes to guarantee the integrity of the signal in the “most demanding” critical broadcasts in the world.

RF-X has been designed to allow users technical directors, ACs, DITs and video engineers replace complex solutions manual switching by a single smart device. As explained Derek Nickell, product manager at Teradek, the tool automatically manages signal integrity, “radically reduces labor and travel costs, while ensuring the highest quality signal for customers.”

The solution of Teradek intake up to up to six signals from receptors Ranger o Bolt, automatically detecting and selecting the best available signal path. Then it emits a single signal 12G-SDI clean, which is transmitted via BNC or fibra SFP SDI. This way, Ranger and Bolt customers can replace the manual video switches and eliminate the associated labor costs, all in a single low-consumption device.
