MRMC NAB 2026

Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) anticipates the keys to its imminent presence in NAB 2026 (April 19 – 22), an event attended with new features such as LiveTrack AI, a VP flow developed with Disguise and new tracking capabilities for its RPS system.

At NAB 2026, MRMC will show the latest developments in the sistema Roaming Pedestal System (RPS) de MRMC Broadcast, that debuts tracking capabilities FreeD, generating real-time XYZ and Pan, Tilt, Zoom and Focus (PTZF) data. Likewise, a new product will be launched: the Kronos curved rail system de Slidekamera by MRMC. Designed as a modular permanent installation for demanding broadcast environments, Kronos supports upright or suspended configurations and allows for custom radius curves and complex bi-directional S-curves within a single system.

Many of MRMC's solutions will be structured around the demonstration area Full Range of Motion, which will showcase the wide variety of camera angles and perspectives that can be achieved with robotic automation processes. In this area, the company will test a new virtual production and augmented reality (AR) workflow developed in collaboration with Disguise.

In the field of mobile pedestal system RPS, MRMC will deploy its RPS-C2 with lifting column along with a new RPS-LT robotic arm variant. Both systems will demonstrate FreeD tracking capabilities, providing real-time pan, tilt, zoom and focus (PTZF) and XYZ data.

LiveTrack AI: tracking for cinema, VP and sports

One of the great novelties of MRMC at NAB 2026 will be LiveTrack AI. Integrated in the software Flair, this feature allows robotic cameras to automatically maintain framing of moving subjects during complex multi-axis maneuvers. Leveraging real-time image analysis of the main camera signal, LiveTrack AI identifies subjects and applies continuous compositional adjustments, ensuring the shot stays locked on the target without the need for constant manual monitoring.

Unlike standard auto-tracking systems, “which often override programmed routes,” LiveTrack AI intelligently combines follow-up fixes with the pre-established trajectory of the robot. This allows creators to retain the desired “feel” of camera movement, while dynamically adapting to the natural movement of the subject.

The result, points out MRMC, is a “professional and fluid” aesthetic that reduces the operator's workload in live sports broadcasts, virtual production and high-end cinema. The system will be tested in combination with the range Cinebot.

And Brooks, Chief Marketing Officer of NAB 2026, summarizes the outline of MRMC's 60th anniversary: "We are proud to celebrate 60 years of innovation at NAB Show 2026 and demonstrate how our robotics continue to expand the possibilities of visual storytelling. By combining precision engineering, open integration and a versatile product portfolio of camera robotics and software, our goal is to give creators and broadcasters the freedom to capture shots that were previously impossible.”
