Sony connects the real world and virtual production with Disguise and XYN
The environments Disguise for virtual production now supports 3D computer-generated graphics (3DCG) assets created with XYN technology. Sony, which translates into better “expressive capabilities” in the production of in-camera VFX.
As the demand for virtual production has grown, the importance of convert physical spaces into high-quality digital assets, as well as creating environments in which they can be used immediately on set. With the release of Sony's latest integration plugin, assets 3DCG high-quality files generated by XYN can now be incorporated into Virtual Production and XR Production Workflows by Disguise. These assets, based on captured real-world spaces, are integrated into these environments through contexts. Unreal Engine.
The combination of assets XYN with the environment of Disguise allows you to maintain a consistent workflow from the content creation until its implementation on site. The improvement is especially useful in those projects that use backgrounds based on real locations or that require content to be prepared within a short time frame.
The space capture solution XYN reduces the workload required to create background content for XR and virtual production. By allowing the capture of actual locations, assets can be produced quickly, improving efficiency and shortening production times.
The new plugin is compatible with media servers Disguise GX 3, GX 3+, VX 3 y VX 4+, and with the render nodes RXIII, which run on Designer r32.3.3 or later.
