Indigo (Ross Video): a new digital ecosystem to unify ingestion, editing, planning and publishing
Ross Video turns to NAB 2026 with a wide selection of new products in which the classic stands out one more thing from his conference: Indigo, a platform defined as the core of “Digital-First” production that eliminates technical silos.
Ross Video exposes in NAB 2026 your new modular platform Indigo. Completely based on browser, has been designed to respond to the immediacy that the content demands cross-platform. To do this, unify ingestion, editing, planning, workflows and publishing in a single collaborative ecosystem.
Indigo, a solution designed to allow teams to scale their needs without having to change platforms, is structured around different modules. Indigo Core connects users, media, workflows and metadata in a single environment. It stands out for its native MOS integration, its ability to automatically label resources using Artificial Intelligence (AI Tagging) and an advanced search engine to manage the entire asset repository. Indigo Media I/O, as an ingest and playout engine, allows you to schedule live sources, manage playlists and perform transcoding in real time to support high-volume productions. The solution stands out for its compatibility with hybrid flows, including both baseband and modern IP formats such as NDI and SRT.
Indigo Create enable quick editing (fast-turn) and asset management directly from the browser, allowing you to assemble cuts, refine content, and integrate with leading non-linear editing (NLE) systems, all without losing connection to the original metadata. On the other hand, Indigo Workflow provides a layer of visual automation that connects processes across the newsroom, providing the ability to configure content routing directly to social networks, publishing CMS systems, or file storage.
Finally, Indigo Planning and Editorial It encompasses a set of tools that centralize and modernize journalistic work: while Planning organizes resources, assignments and general production monitoring, Editorial It integrates capabilities of a computer newsroom system (NRCS), allowing news to be built with rundowns, scripts and integration of agency cables (wires) in the same window where the video is viewed.
Hyperconvergence and scalability, with Ultrix and Carbonite
Celebrating the milestone that represents the 5,000 chassis deployed from its hyperconverged platform Vengeance, Ross Video presents at NAB 2026 Ultrix Flex Licenses, a business model that allows users to dynamically remap the capacity of internal FPGAs to enable Multiviewers, routing, synchronizers, or audio processing on demand using the Ross Platform Manager interface.
Ross has also introduced Carbonite Code Solo, a software-based video mixing solution natively optimized for NDI networks, supporting SRT direct ingest and H.264/HEVC encoded web outputs, and TouchDrive 5, a new control surface with five full stripes and more advanced customization that expands touch access for large productions.
Advanced Robotics and Audio Automation
Camera control reaches new levels of security with SmartShell v8.1, which presents an interface with a real-time XY map of the study and prevention of collisions managed by Artificial Intelligence. The announcement aligns with a new strategic collaboration with Canon, which results in the control of broadcast-grade PTZ cameras from Ross software, the introduction of the robotic head X650 and system updates Spidercam.
In sound processing, Ross presents Lama AutoMix, a native software system (executable on-premise or in public cloud) that uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms to detect who is speaking, performing a pristine voice mix autonomously with AES67, Dante and SMPTE ST 2110-30 compatibility.

Aside from these developments, Ross Video presents other dozens of improvements that make up an ecosystem in continuous evolution. From the field of infrastructure and control, NRG offers next-generation SDI routing with UHD support and an optional software multiviewer; Ultracore BCS NDI Control enables seamless detection and control of NDI alongside SDI and ST 2110 workflows; Ultracore-SVR provides high-performance, enterprise-grade routing control in a compact form factor; Ultrix-MOD-JXS expands ST 2110 connectivity in bandwidth-constrained environments; UltraGPI connects legacy GPI systems with modern IP workflows, y openGear continues to offer an open and trusted ecosystem with expanded 12G SDI capabilities.
Regarding graphics, XPression improves real-time charting with browser-based monitoring and preview tools; XPression.cloud enables scalable, on-demand graphics for sports and live events; Ross Virtual Solutions (Voyager) leverages Unreal Engine to deliver photorealistic VP; Piero receives AI capabilities, and Raiden optimiza la narración meteorológica con flujos de trabajo integrados en la sala de redacción.
