RED expands its reach at NAB 2026: from cinema to sports

The cine-broadcast module applied to a live sports environment and the new V-Raptor XE camera are the main attractions of the presence of RED (Nikon) in NAB 2026, which will show the suitability of its camera ecosystem for multi-camera and first-class broadcast environments.

The XE offers versatile shooting options with speeds up to 60 frames per second (fps) in 8K VV, 80 fps in 6K S35, 120 fps in 4K and 240 fps in 2K, and includes improvements to boot speed and sensor power efficiency. With 17 steps of dynamic range and ability to work in low light conditions, RF mount options or Nikon Z, and a compact body of just over 1.8 kg, the XE provides a tool set adaptable to “any scale” productions.

RED showcase at NAB completes with workflow station RED R3D and Nikon R3D NE, where attendees can discover the potential of RAW images from both platforms managed with iodyne's high-performance Pro Data storage solution.
