Ateme, BCE and Scaleway sign Europe's first fully sovereign cloud supply chain

Broadcasters, content owners and service providers will benefit from a cloud-native multimedia solution designed and operated entirely in Europe by Atem, BCE y Scaleway.

Building on the recently announced collaboration between BCE y Scaleway, this expanded alliance integrates the advanced capabilities of processing, distribution and monetization Ateme video. In this way, the three companies will begin to offer a set of end to end services that encompasses all stages of the life cycle del contenido audiovisual: adquisición e ingesta de contenidos; procesamiento, codificación y empaquetado; cadena de gestión de contenidos; distribución de emisiones y streaming a gran escala en todas las plataformas, y monetización avanzada mediante la inserción dinámica de anuncios y la publicidad dirigida.

La oferta conjunta está diseñada para satisfacer los requisitos “más exigentes del sector” de los medios de comunicación actual, brindando rendimiento, escalabilidad, fiabilidad y “pleno cumplimiento” de los requisitos europeos de soberanía y protección de datos. De esta forma, las tres empresas firman una alternativa europea “creíble” a los hiperescaladores no europeos, in line with the growing market demand for transparency, control and long-term digital independence.

The alliance also aims to accelerate the adoption of AI, GenAI and value-added services driven by Agentive AI throughout the media supply chain. In this area, it will include the intelligent content processing, automated workflows, metadata enrichment, audience personalization, and advanced monetization optimization.

The association will be announced at different events: June 10, a seminar will be offered in Stockholm that will mark the first joint presentation of the sovereign end-to-end media supply chain; he June 25, Iliad's headquarters in Paris will host a customer-focused event highlighting real-world use cases and deployments, and finally, in IBC 2026 (September 11 – 14, Amsterdam), live demonstrations will be given at the stands of the three companies, in a showcase in which the complete workflow will be shown.

Remi Beaudouin, strategy director of Atem, celebrates the alliance by highlighting the “unique and comprehensive” nature of the service, while Sylvain Merle, CTO of BCE, points out that it responds to the “real production needs with performance and operational solidity.
