QinMedia IP Video Laboratory

In order to respond to the growing demand for IP and hybrid projects in the broadcast sector QinMedia launches an IP video laboratory in Madrid equipped with infrastructure from manufacturers such as Imagine Communications, Clear-Com, Trilogy y Vislink.

The new IP laboratory, which is open to clients who need validate the integration of your own teams before undertaking projects or updates, responds to the increase in the technical complexity of migration projects to IP environments in the audiovisual and broadcast sector. In this way, QinMedia will offer clients and partners a controlled environment where check configurations and compatibility before systems reach production.

The laboratory platform is synchronized thanks to a synchronism generator PTP Trilogy of Clear-Com and incorporates network infrastructure Nvidia. Among the permanently installed equipment are IP video processors Selenium Network Processor from Imagine Communications, as well as Channel-in-a-Box solutions Version and servers Nexio in IP from the same manufacturer. The Clear-Com Intercom System Eclipse HX It operates in ST 2110/AES67, and the platform also has SDI equipment for hybrid scenarios and interoperability tests. The management and control of all these resources falls on the orchestrator Magellan SDNO, also from Imagine Communications.

QinMedia IP Video LaboratoryJosé María Álvarez, director of QinMedia, highlights that "the transition to IP video is already a reality in most of the projects we tackle. Having our own environment equipped with real equipment allows us to reduce analysis times, anticipate incidents and minimize risks during integration. And, above all, work together with our clients' technical teams before the system goes into production."

A dynamic space

The laboratory is designed to carry out tasks of systems configuration, incident analysis y compatibility tests between devices from different manufacturers. On the other hand, the dimensions of this space also allow us to organize conferences, presentations and workshops with clients and technological partners.

QinMedia opens this space to those clients who wish to integrate and validate their own equipment in the laboratory's IP environment before undertaking projects in real environments, with the aim of confirming their compatibility and joint operation. This initiative represents a relevant step in QinMedia's technical strategy to address the growing demand for IP-based broadcast infrastructure projects, a segment in strong expansion throughout the global media industry.
