From her new position as content director for Spain, Sonia Martínez Ruiz will lead the creative strategy of The Studio, supervising the development and production of film and television projects in order to consolidate the production company's Spanish operation.
The Studio is a transatlantic audiovisual production company specialized in content for the Spanish-speaking market. Founded and led by Pablo Cruz, together with Juana García Blaya as vice president of Mexico and Julieta Bernabó as financial director, the company has offices in Mexico City and Madrid.
The incorporation of Sonia Martinez to its structure it supposes an important step in the growth strategy of El Estudio in Spain after establishing itself in the audiovisual market in Spanish with productions for platforms such as Netflix, Amazon and ViX. With more than twenty years of experience, The executive is one of the most recognized executives in Spanish fiction.
Martínez has held positions of responsibility in Mediaset España, Atresmedia, Atresmedia Studios and Buendía Estudios, participating throughout his career in the development and production of series such as Hospital Central, The Serranos, Aida, Physics or Chemistry, Great Hotel, The Time Between Seams, Velvet, Dream a Dream, flour, The Money Heist, Poison, Cardo, Greyhounds and Sira, among other titles.
