Christie will show “future” film technologies at CineEurope 2026

From June 22 to 25, the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB) hosts a new edition of CineEurope, fair in which Christie will focus on its new RGBH projectors both on the exhibition floor and in room 8 of the Cinesa Diagonal Mar multiplexes.

Through live demonstrations and real world applications, Christie will show how advances in lighting, contrast and efficiency can reinforce the projection quality, reduce energy consumption and add value long term to exhibitors. In the words of Adil Zerouali, vice president of sales for EMEA: “At CineEurope 2026, we will show how Christie helps them improve projection quality, manage energy consumption and deliver the kind of cinema experience that keeps audiences coming back.”

The Catalan event will mark the European debut of film projectors RGBH from Christie, with brightness options ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 lumens. By combining pure RGB laser and laser phosphor lighting, RGBH technology offers exhibitors a path from laser xenon, providing “bright and rich” images, “excellent color performance” and greater energy efficiency.

Christie will also focus VDR, a technology for projectors CineLife+ with lighting RealLaser designed to enhance the on-screen experience while optimizing operational efficiency. During the live screenings at Cinesa Diagonal Mar, Room 8, visitors will be able to see how VDR offers greater contrast, a better detail in dark scenes, accurate colors and great brightness, creating a more dynamic and attractive image that allows more efficient use of the projector's light power, "without increasing brightness or altering the projector's native color performance." According to the manufacturer's data, this tool can reduce laser energy consumption by up to 30% and prolong its useful life by up to 50%.

Christie's showcase at CineEurope is completed with ChristieCare, a complete set of services available directly through Christie and its partner network; Cinergy, a manufacturer-agnostic remote monitoring and management platform that provides exhibitors and service providers with advanced tools to maximize “uptime, efficiency, visibility and control,” and server display Christie IMB-S4, the screens BY Stumpfl y Rodeo FX, key solutions to carry out the different demos of the fair.
