Robe lights up MasterChef in France
The popular culinary competition offered in France by TF1 has used, under the lighting direction of David Seligmann-Forest, numerous Robe solutions to give greater spectacularity to the set.
Lighting designer David Seligmann-Forest has conceived the lighting design that, through Lite4life, has been deployed in Plaine Studios, St Denis (Paris) for the recording of the fourth season of MasterChef in France.
The popular cooking contest offered by TF1 has used numerous solutions from Robe to give greater spectacularity to the set. Among other solutions, Seligmann-Forest used 4 Robin LEDWash 1200s, 39 Robin LEDWash 600s, 20 Robin LEDWash 300s and eight Robin LEDBeam 100s.
“It is absolutely essential to have a highly versatile lighting system for a show like this,” said Seligmann-Forest.
For MasterChef, the lighting specialist has opted for soft, natural and elegant tones that enhance the dishes prepared by the chefs. Although it has also given a touch of glamor and spectacle to key moments such as the arrival of the participants or the reading of the winner. For the final, he added another thirty LEDBeam 100s, 10 LEDWash 1200, 14 Robin MMX Spots and 4 Robin Pointes.
The production of MasterChef has been one of the first occasions in which David Seligmann-Forest has used the Pointe. “It is great, fast, super bright and with a very powerful beam, far above its competitors,” he assured.
The MasterChef culinary competition for TF1 was directed by Seb Pestel, with Michèle Sarfati in charge of the set design.
