Manuel Ricoy, director of photography of the new format of RTVE 'Brigada Tech', has traveled the peninsular geography with a lighting team dominated by solutions from Robe, distributed by Earpro&EES and supplied by the Valladolid rental company Use Sound.

Each program has been filmed in different points of Spanish geography, among them Avilés (Asturias), Laguna de Duero (Valladolid), Tudela (Navarra), Canas de Morrazo (Galicia), Altea (Alicante), Torrelavega (Cantabria) and Puertollano (Castilla la Mancha), in which a traveling set in which Manuel Ricoy He has served as director of photography and lighting.

Ricoy has opted for a selection of moving heads from Robe, specifically, 12 Strong, 8 MegaPointe, 12 Pointe, 16 LEDBeam 150 and 12 LEDBeam 350. These moving lights have helped create the modern aesthetic with avant-garde touches that everyone was looking for within the production. Ricoy has combined the lighting techniques and disciplines of concert tours and television to create a spectacular montage in the different filming locations, usually theaters and cultural centers. In fact, it has been a “study on tour” project.

The director of photography has worked closely with the set designer Joaquin Lopez, whose design has contributed to shaping the set's lighting. When setting up the set in the various locations, 80% of the spotlights have been hung using available poles, along with additional trusses from the production, either flown or on totems, mounted on the stage to complete the design.

These effects have made it possible to highlight and make the set look more futuristic with the push of a button, very much in line with the content and concept of Brigada Tech.

According to Rich, who has been working with Robe products for several years, "after comparing them with other luminaires and brands, Robe offers more quality bulbs than any other. I have always preferred Robe for my designs because the results are consistently good and reliable."
