RTL Nederland turns off its teletext service
Starting in April, only pages 888 and 889 will continue to be accessible as closed captioning access for the hearing impaired.
Starting April 1, RTL Nederland will stop offering news via teletext (RTL Text).
Only pages 888 and 889 will continue to be accessible as closed captioning access for the hearing impaired.
Many functions of teletext have now been taken over by the website, broadcaster apps, social networks and the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
Over the past few years, the number of RTL Text users has steadily decreased, so the RTL Group subsidiary has chosen to discontinue the service in the Netherlands.
