Ovide B.S. strengthens its radio link service
The company specialized in rental, after creating a division dedicated to providing specific radio link service for television stations and production companies, begins to provide service at prominent events.
With the aim of providing a service specially designed for television stations that require the rental, installation and operation of radio links, Ovide BS created a specific division within its commercial department in January of this year. Months after its creation, Ovide B.S. This service is established, providing coverage to prominent broadcast events. Among them, the Spanish GT Championship and the finals played by F.C. Barcelona at both the Camp Nou and the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
A team of technicians specialized in radio frequency broadcasts from Ovide B.S. They recently traveled to the Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tomo and the Circuito Jarama equipped with several Link XPR digital radio link units to offer their services to Valtierra Producciones in the broadcast of the GT awards.
Another notable broadcast was the match between F.C. Barcelona and Chelsea, corresponding to the Champions League that was broadcast by Antena 3 and followed by 8,282,000 viewers with a 46% share. This broadcast was carried out live and in high definition with Ovide B.S. equipment: radio link Link HDR 1500, Thomson LDK 8000 camera plus remote control and tally. This radio link allows images to be retransmitted with extraordinary HD quality and its delay is 60ms (1.5 frames), which allows it to be mixed with the rest of the triax cameras at the UM/set. Another of its characteristics is that it is 4:2:2 and that it uses LMS-T modulation, a COFDM-type modulation with much higher reliability than DVB-T.
Regarding the Champions League final held at the Olympic Stadium in Rome between F.C. Barcelona and Manchester, Ovide B.S. provided several Canon HDTV XJ86x9.3 and HDTV XJ72x9.3 optical units as well as different models of Link XPR and Link SRD 1500 (digital) radio links. The match achieved an average audience of 11,310,000 followers, becoming the most watched broadcast of the year, surpassing the 10,012,000 million that the Copa del Rey Final achieved. Barcelona-Manchester achieved a screen share of 61.7%.
