RFS strengthens the deployment of DTT in Argentina

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has been selected for the second stage of the digital TV project in Argentina composed of 23 radiating stations. Instead of PHP panels, in phase 1B elliptical polarization panels have been chosen, which allows better mobile TV reception.

RFS, with the support of Mach Electronics as its authorized distributor in the Argentine territory, has been once again selected for the deployment of digital television in Argentina. RFS has already installed half of the 52 radiant stations with PHP Horizontal Polarization panels in the first phase. In total RFS supplied 58 antennas with 12, 14 or 16 panels distributed throughout the country.

Although in the first phase traditional PHP panels were chosen, in phase 1B elliptical polarization panels were chosen, which allows better mobile TV reception.

RFS combiners have high-efficiency filters developed especially for digital television. With these coaxial cavity filters it was possible to meet the critical mask requirements of the ISDB-T standard with only six poles, that is, using two less poles than traditional solutions.

RFS also supplied coaxial cables with air dielectrics from the Heliflex line.
