Studer OnAir 2500, the new compact console
With the same user interface as the popular OnAir 3000 mixer, it is specially designed for radio and television.
Studer has taken a step further in its solutions for broadcast environments by launching a control surface that integrates in a compact single-body chassis both the input and output modules (separate, dedicated and recessed into a workstation), the DSP Core and the power supply. Initially, it will be sold with 12, 18 and 24 sound attenuators, with the option of motorized sound attenuators.
The most striking thing about this console is that it presents the same Touch'n'Action user interface as the Onair 3000, with a 12'' TFT and high-resolution OLED screens for each channel, with channel identification parameters and its input level, adjustable with a rotary potentiometer and two buttons located below the screen. Thanks to Studer's interconnection technology, the OnAir2500 supports I/O sharing, thus being able to share signals with other Studer devices such as the CMS call management system. This telephone call management system allows the operator to simultaneously carry out other programming and actions on other channels through the Monitora protocol via the serial interface or a TCP/IP connection.
The number of I/O in different signal formats is more than enough for broadcast environments, with, in addition to the typical headphone, microphone, line and AES interfaces on the D and XLR suboutputs, the possibility of working with digital multichannel formats such as MADI, ADAT and IEEE-1394 FireWire.
Finally, note that Studer Relink technology allows you to share audio signals from the OnAir 2500 to other Studer mixers such as the 3000 or Vista Series.
