Solid State Logic joins its portfolio with the System T S400 console

Solid State Logic has demonstrated its new System T S400 console at NAB 2024, as well as a Comprehensive cloud solution to produce broadcast audio with more flexibility and scalability.

Following the recent launch of the Tempest Control App, the new S400 console is the latest control solution for SSL's System T production platform.

The new S400 console represents the latest control surface offering for SSL's next-generation native IP broadcast production platform, System T. Available in independent racks of 16+1, 32+1 or 48+1 faders, the S400 sits between the compact fixed-frame S300 and the iconic modular S500.

The console offers the same high-quality fader experience as the S500, with premium touch faders 100 mm and a dedicated OLED screen for each fader. LED level and status indicators for dynamics, auto mix, and external control are also present next to each fader to further enhance visual information for operators.

In addition to the live studio production, the S400 is the control solution perfect for mobile units, event spaces and music applications, or anywhere premium control features are required but space is an issue.

Delivering premium control in a cost-effective format, the S400 is the newest member of the SSL System T console range and joins S300, S500 and S500m control surfaces.

At the heart of the S400 is the same software environment and feature set as across the System T range, including a Complete immersive production toolkit, a complete effects rack with studio quality and a control of integrated AoIP routing. All system configuration, routing and surface layout tasks, accessed and controlled by multi-gesture touch screens, can be carried out using simple and intuitive on-screen actions. To further enhance control and visual feedback, an additional display can be added via the HDMI output and mounted on an optional display arm.

Virtualized mixing for broadcast

At NAB 2024 in Las Vegas it has also made its world debut System T Cloud, a proposal that offers new innovative workflows and unprecedented production agility.

With the same audio quality, features and interface that users of System T hardware are accustomed to, System T Cloud is a Complete and comprehensive broadcast audio solution. This platform offers a flexibility and scalability , allowing perfect management of live productions from multiple locations via the cloud.
