Tecatel introduces the hand-held meter with BER
Tecatel presents Digiair Pro, a very light handheld meter, aimed at professional use for the exact alignment and adjustment of a terrestrial antenna, both analog and digital, as well as for carrying out adjustment measurements for terrestrial signals.
The new Digiair Pro from Tecatel is a device that is controlled by a microprocessor so that it is very precise and reliable and is capable of reading even the weakest signal received by both analog or digital terrestrial antennas. The signal strength is shown on its alphanumeric LCD display. In analog mode it can display only one channel or up to six simultaneously. You can also view the signal in spectrum mode.
In digital mode it measures both the BER and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and in analog mode it reads the signal level in dBµV. It also allows the reading of the UCB (uncorrected bits) and the CB (corrected blocks) in a simple way.
It can also power active antennas (5/12 V), and is equipped with an automatic fuse to avoid short circuits. The battery can be charged with an external 13.5 – 18 V charger. Its small size and weight, as well as its easy use, make it ideal for those installations in which, being necessary to precisely adjust the levels and quality of digital terrestrial signals, maximum comfort and low weight are required.
