EVS XS Server: available in a two-channel version for studios

This solution allows, at a low cost, to completely replace the use of VTR in the operations under study.

With studio ingest, production and playback operations in mind, EVS has launched the XS Server, which until now was available in four channels, in a two-channel configuration. This option means being able to have an entry-level server with which to replace cumbersome VTRs, improving productivity and as a reliable alternative to tape.

First introduced last February at the London Broadcast Expo, XS Studio has caught the attention of many broadcasters and studio producers as an alternative to using tape. These servers support a wide variety of ingest and output formats, including most native SD and HD codecs. In addition, they allow great flexibility in studio operations when combining the acquisition of files from the camera with post-production systems in both SD and HD.

The XS server, both in its 2 and 4 channel versions, can be controlled by multiple software systems, from IPDirector or Insio, from EVS itself, to third-party solutions, integrating with automations, mixers or any media asset management infrastructure.
