Malta Radio: simultaneous premiere in theaters and on the Internet
The film portal Filmotech.com premieres this Friday, at the same time as the cinemas, the documentary Malta Radio about the solidarity odyssey of the fishing boat “Francisco y Catalina”
For the first time, legally, without limitations and at the same time in cinemas and the Internet, all those film fans who have a broadband connection will be able, without leaving their home, to enjoy the Malta Radio documentary through the legal movie viewing website filmotech.com.
The feature film, which will be shown starting Friday in Barcelona and Santa Pola (where the sailors of the “Francisco and Catalina” come from) will be sold on the Internet for 1.74 euros. As Rafael Sánchez, director of filmotech.com, explains, "in this way, all the people who want to see the documentary and do not reside in the towns where it is shown, will also have the opportunity to see it. It is a good way to overcome the limitation that some films are released only in some large Spanish cities. Thus, everyone who wants to can see the film regardless of their place of residence."
Malta Radio tells the story of how the 10 crew members of the fishing boat “Francisco y Catalina” rescued 51 immigrants who were adrift in a boat from certain death and the eight days they lived on the boat waiting for a decision that would allow them to safely disembark the immigrants.
Malta Radio is the first film by director and screenwriter Manuel Menchón, an experienced advertising director who has spent three years working on the project that is now finally coming to light, produced by Socarrat Producciones, 235, Mediagrama and Manuel Menchón P.C.
Filmotech.com is a portal for legal cinema viewing over the Internet, in streaming, without waiting or downloading, whose fundamental objective is to offer a new way of enjoying cinema by offering a legal alternative to Internet users.
