Vision Octane: new range of 3G-ready mixers

At IBC'09, Ross Video will present the Vision Octane line of mixers that will integrate 24 channels of 3D DVE effects with Warp capability, 96 inputs and 48 outputs.

Thinking about 3Gbps environments, Ross Video will launch its new line of Vision Octane mixers on the market coinciding with IBC'09. This new range features 24 warp-capable 3D DVE effects channels, 96 inputs and 48 outputs, 32 full keyers, 12 auxiliary keyers on each auxiliary output bus and 12 DVE combinations providing a total of 56 keyers in the system.

With an 8 RU processor (the same as the Vision QMD-X series), this series of switchers is specially designed for multi-screen, multi-destination, 3D productions, monitor wall applications, allowing each source to obtain full production value without stealing resources from the main production. The auxiliary keyers would, in effect, act as 'mini MLEs' for multi-screen production applications where each of the screens requires dedicated production power. According to Ross Video, the Octane range would mean “working as if they were 20 MLE mixers at the same time.”
