Vector MultiPlay, new Vector 3 playout
MultiPlay is a pioneering solution that aims to implement a new workflow concept. It is highly configurable with numerous applications and presents great redundancy and management possibilities.
Vector 3 announced today that it will show for the first time at IBC'09 its new line of Vector MultiPlay solutions, which, for now, will include MCR for automation and master control, and MultiPlay VServers, its next generation of video servers with live branding. Thanks to their great flexibility, both MultiPlay MCR and VServer can be integrated to create a redundant architecture to get the most out of IT-based environments.
Román Ceano, general director of Vector 3, has pointed out that "since the mid-80s, Vector has been committed to IT workflows in broadcast environments and until now its reliability has been key for our solutions to be adopted by numerous networks. The new MultiPlay offers high reliability based on IT infrastructure, demonstrating to broadcasters that it is the most profitable and infinitely more robust playout solution in the industry compared to much more expensive products. With MultiPlay, operators can precisely manage all parameters and system redundancy, configuring your MultiPlay for specific channels and their demands, giving, for example, more redundancy to one than another if necessary. These versatile options allow broadcasters to buy only what they intend to use, minimizing costs and maximizing productivity. Vector's highly configurable technology allows MultiPlay to be reconfigured to adapt to the evolution of day-to-day operations.
VectorBox, the all-in-one solution
In addition to the innovative MultiPlay, those who come to the Vector 3 stand at the RAI Center in Amsterdam during IBC'09 will be able to see the flagship of the Vector 3 "channel-in-a-box" generation at work, the VectorBox, now in its highest 8000HD version. With nearly a thousand VectorBox servers installed around the world, from Los Angeles to Yakutia, and from New Zealand to Scandinavia, thousands of channels have one of the most affordable, intuitive and easy-to-install automated playout systems. Regarding the VectorBox 8000 HD, the general director of Vector 3, Ramón Ceano, has commented that "the emphasis of our engineering is being placed on high definition and new media channels. Just as P2P or YouTube represent a real playout that is a real challenge for broadcasters, we propose the VectorBox 8000HD as a guarantee to overcome the obstacles they face, with the lower range even being the maximum exponent of quality results. The cost-relationship “The VectorBox 8000HD and its easy implementation make it a unique turnkey solution. The universal file format player, its powerful engine, its great capacity for channel branding and extensive support for broadcast hardware, make it a perfect all-in-one integrated solution that has made it the most popular automation and playout systems in the industry.”
