Vector adds 3D capability to its playout system

Vector 3 has updated its MultiPlay playout solution, which includes the all-in-one VectorBox server, to the new stereoscopic environments, having already carried out compatibility tests with the Assimilate digital intermediation application, Vizrt graphics systems and the popular Final Cut Pro editor.

In the various laboratory tests that Vector has carried out with the Assimilate digital intermediation application, Vizrt graphics systems and the popular Final Cut Pro editor, Vector MultiPlay has provided exceptional ingest and 3D play-out fully in line with the system's playout automation capabilities.

Ceano also highlighted that "the Vector Multiplay 3D playout workflow incorporates Axon to convert Assimilate files to SDI and 3PlayPro for conversion to anaglyph over HDMI. Vector manages playout automation by migrating the converted files through Vizrt, allowing existing Vector Multiplay users to easily adapt to stereoscopic 3D playout workflows."

Based on IT hardware, Vector MultiPlay integrates all kinds of capabilities for Master Control, effects engine, dynamic channel branding with comprehensive support of all universal file formats in both SD and HD. Its innovative architecture also allows it to be used as a redundancy and intelligent backup system in multichannel environments.
