Globosat HD will distribute its programming on Sky and Net Brasil

The largest pay TV platform in Latin America, Sky, has joined forces with the Brazilian Net Brasil to access and share the high definition offer offered by Globosat, the largest channel packager in the region.

Although Globosat's content is distributed to date only through Net Brasil in this country, from now on millions of Latin Americans will be able to access its programming in high definition through Sky thanks to an agreement signed by the three companies. Sky HD will offer a total of 18 channels in high definition, and it is very possible that it will soon also include video on demand services in HD. With this alliance, Net Brasil and Sky HD become the largest high definition platforms in Latin America. For now, the offer will include (to be determined which will be in the basic offer) five channels: Globosat HD, Multishow HD, two high definition movie channels, and the channel based on Brazilian soccer PFC HD.
