Panasonic launches a flexible, low-cost solution for transmitting high-quality signals up to one hundred meters for its high-definition cameras.

Studio System PanasonicSending digital signals over distances of up to one hundred meters with full remote control, audio signal and genlock, is now possible with Panasonic's new Studio Systems system. This solution comes in four configurations with different components according to needs: 300Studio (designed for the HPX300 camera and others where the camera's minitor is used as a viewfinder), Studio P2 (for moving cameras), 300StudioPlus and P2 Studio Plus (the AG-EC4GY control has been replaced with the advanced AJ-RC-10 control). The system, which will begin shipping in October, is compatible with the following camcorder models: the AG-HPX300, AG-HPX500, the AJ-HPX2000, AJ-HPX3000, VariCam 2700 (AJ-HPX2700) and VariCam 3700 (AJ-HPX3700), AJ-HDX400, and the AJ-HDX900.

The Studio System features a base station (AG-BS300), a camera adapter (AG-CA300G), a remote control unit (AG-EC4G) and the viewfinder interface (AG-YA500G). Panasonic will provide other additional accessories that allow the system to be customized for a variety of applications as well.

The AG-BS300 base station connects to the AG-CA300G adapter with two BNC cables. The base station also comes with a power cable that runs along the BNC cables to supply remote power for the video cameras. The base station has two HD / SD SDI inputs and a composite video output.
