Linear Acoustic will show at IBC'09 AERO.air, one of the first implementations of the Dolby Pulse audio coding system (Dolby development of HE AAC).

Linear Acoustic AERO Air

Thinking about broadcasters who are beginning to broadcast in 5.1 surround in their digital broadcasts in DTT and high definition, Linear Acoustic has developed AERO.air, based on Dolby Pulse (based on Dolby on HE AAC).

The AERO.air is currently available with Dolby Digital, with Dolby Digital Plus encoding now expanding to Dolby Pulse. The system accepts stereo or 5.1 channel audio and offers Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus although it will also be capable of simultaneously producing Dolby Pulse encoded bitstreams. Tim Carroll, founder and president of Linear Acoustic, “this will allow facilities to install a single box that will handle all current and future audio processing as well as encoding needs.”

The comprehensive AERO.air solution is equipped with a volume controller, upmixer, and metadata manager, as well as a full-time, two-channel downmixer for mobile services. The AutoMax processor automatically and seamlessly passes through stereo and 5.1 audio without any problems.
