Up becomes Disney's highest-grossing animated title in Spain, surpassing Finding Nemo which until now held the record with 23,401 million euros.

The Disney/Pixar film, Up, has become Disney's highest-grossing animated title in Spain, surpassing Finding Nemo which until now held the record with 23,401 million euros. He has also left behind titles in the category of The Incredibles, Tarzan o The Lion King. Up has already raised 23,466 million euros, thus also becoming the highest-grossing release of 2009 to date and has also surpassed the highest-grossing release of 2008 (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull con 20.948.894€).

Of the accumulated total, 13,418,941 euros correspond to conventional copies, while 3D theaters have raised 10,047,968 (with only 140 copies). In total, 3,515,239 people have seen the film since it premiered on July 30.

From Oscar-winning director Pete Docter (Monstrous SA), Disney Pixar presents in this film the story of a 78-year-old balloon salesman, Carl Fredricksen, who finally manages to carry out the dream of his life by hooking thousands of balloons to his house and flying off to South America.
