Riedel Artist intercom systems at MediaCityUK

Riedel will supply nine Artist fibre-connected digital matrices to the new MediaCityUK production centre, located in the city of Manchester, and powered by the BBC.

One of the largest production centers in the United Kingdom, MediaCityUK in Salford-Manchester, will integrate nine digital intercom matrices connected by Artist fiber together with several Performer Digital Party Line systems, all of them from Riedel. The installation promoted by BBC includes a 928x928 matrix made up of the Artist, Artist 128, two Artist 64 and one Artist 32 systems. All of them equipped with redundant power supplies, CPU cards and client cards that allow the connection of numerous control panels and audio formats with AES quality.

The new MediaCityUK production center will integrate a hundred control panels, including around thirty Riedel 1000 systems whose main feature are their eight-character LED displays, and more than 60 of the 2100 series LCD.
