Genus, new representative of Grau Luminotecnia

Grau Luminotecnia begins the representation of Genus, manufacturer of accessories for Mini HD, HDV and DSLR cameras of high quality and innovative design.

Grau Luminotecnia has reached a representation agreement with the manufacturer Genus, specialized in all types of accessories for Mini HD, HDV and DSLR cameras. Genus, which is always attentive to the demand of videographers, has just presented an adapter for the Canon EOS 5D MKII. This camera has been all the rage among video camera operators for a year and some work has already been done with it, in some cases being adopted as a second HD video unit. Its natural replacement is the Canon EOS 7D, which can work at 24 and 25 frames per second (fps).

Since this type of camera is still a 35mm reflex photography camera, its design is based on a photo camera concept, but with incredible HD video performance. The problem is that it is not designed to work as a video/cinema camera and therefore does not include accessories, often essential, for our sector. How to mount the camera on a tripod or incorporate a Matte Box, a filter system or a Follow Focus is no longer a problem thanks to the 'ingenuity' developed by Genus. Thanks to it, a camera initially designed for photography becomes a practical camera on a tripod or shoulder.
