Santiago Quiroga, director of Broadcast'09: “We face a Broadcast more necessary than ever”
Santiago Quiroga, director of Broadcast'09, assures PanoramaAudiovisual.com in an interview that this Show will be an excellent opportunity to take the pulse of a sector that is experiencing profound technological and business model changes, and he is convinced that the non-coincidence with SIMO will not affect the fair that takes place from November 3 to 6.
The director of the International Professional Exhibition of Audiovisual Technology Broadcast'09, Santiago Quiroga, assures in an interview with PanoramaAudiovisual.com that in the face of the challenges, crossroads and changes that this industry faces in a complex economic moment, "the sector had two options: stay still or move forward, seeking to open up to new fields."
Regarding the non-coincidence in dates with SIMO in this edition, Quiroga affirms that it will not directly affect Broadcast: "previously there were many points of coincidence between SIMO as an ICT fair and Broadcast as an event in the audiovisual sector. SIMO has evolved towards a focus on the application of new technologies in a business environment, while Broadcast has been opening up to new environments at the educational, leisure, and, of course, professional environments." The director of the Fair firmly assures that “Broadcast has its own entity and the professional public that attends knows perfectly well what they are going to find at this fair.”
Regarding the initiatives launched by IFEMA for this edition, apart from an extensive program of conferences, Santiago Quiroga highlights two lines: Nursery and Company, two actions aimed at enabling emerging, innovative companies or companies with a clear line of research to exhibit in this Hall under advantageous conditions, thus supporting new business and entrepreneurial projects from IFEMA.
