Snell's automation and control system, Morpheus, and Grass Valley's ContentShare2 solution are at the heart of Mediahub's first playout, a 130-client multi-client mega playout center for broadcasters in three time zones launched by ABC and WIN in Australia.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and WIN Corporation have created a joint venture called MediaHub that has just launched a center in New South Wales to serve numerous broadcasters in up to three time zones. At the heart of this center are several Morpheus automation and control systems from Snell. For its part, Grass Valley has integrated several solutions for ingestion, storage, media management, monitoring and header systems.

The new 2,250 m² broadcast center is designed to meet the demands of improving digital broadcasting and increase the programming capacity and capacity of Australian broadcasters in the future. Each broadcaster sends its programming to these facilities where Morpheus systems generate the lists based on the material ingested into a Grass Valley ContentShare2 (CS2) media management system that serves as an interface between the broadcast center and the individual production centers of its multiple clients. The content is delivered nearline to storage and the Snell Morpheus systems send the order to the broadcast automation server of the 130 channels.

This model gives operators in a central location the ability to manage multiple streams of live content and manage broadcast schedules for multiple time zones.
