Multimedia training through iTunes
IE Business School becomes the first business school to be launched in Spain through iTunes in which users will have access and download high-quality educational content for free.
IE Business School has become the first business school in Spain to offer online content through iTunes U. The main advantage of this initiative for users is that it allows access and downloading high-quality educational content for free. This decision is in line with IE's philosophy on innovation and knowledge sharing.
Through IE Business School on iTunes U, users will be able to freely access resources that have been distributed in two main areas: Open Multimedia and IE Experience.
Open Multimedia includes a series of podcasts that focus on explanations, debates and initiatives on topics related to these management areas. A series of weekly podcasts developed for the economic environment area stands out, where teachers intervene on the most relevant topics of the moment and offering an analysis of these situations. All of these resources are regularly used at IE-Business School in face-to-face, blended and online programs.
IE Experience is a section organized following the process that an IE Business School student will do at school, showing content from the admission process to the professional careers section. This way the user can find useful information and advice on, for example, how to apply for a master's program or watch videos from teachers. These resources are of great importance both for potential candidates and for alumni who wish to relive their experiences and continue enjoying the services of IE Business School.
IE Business School on iTunes U allows users to subscribe to content, allowing them to receive automatic updates directly to their computers or mobile devices.
Idoia Olazar, who directs the project, explains that "IE is the first business school in Spain and one of the first in Europe on iTunes U. It is an important way of distributing educational resources and providing information for current, former and future students of the school. We also see it as an excellent initiative to generate interest in the multimedia documentation that we have produced since 2001, when we created our e-learning department to promote the use of multimedia content at IE Business School. It is a good opportunity to raise awareness of our activity in this area. among potential students and companies who will now have free access to the materials we produce and use in our class discussions.”
