Barco's new RLM-W6 projector will make its debut at ISE 2010
At the price of a single-chip projector, the first three-chip DLP system with WUXGA resolution (1920x1200) will be presented during Integrated Systems Europe at Barco's stand in Amsterdam.
Barco's new RLM-W6 projector will debut at ISE 2010, presenting itself as the first projector on the market with three DLP chips and WUXGA resolution (1920×1200). With a price similar to a single-chip projector, an extremely low noise level of 32dB, 33% lower power consumption than comparable systems and 6,000 lumens of light, the RLM-W6 is designed by the Belgian manufacturer for large meeting rooms, receptions and auditoriums.
Carl Rijsbrack, director of products and management solutions at Barco, has acknowledged that when referring to the RLM-W6 they like to call it "three for one, since for the price of a single DLP chip you get a three-chip DLP project with better image quality and a low noise level. This makes it a strong bet for meeting rooms, where you do not want to have a constant hum, although its color and brightness quality also allows the use of the RLM-W6 in hallways or hallways.
However, the new RLM-W6, with its 6,000 lumens, is also ideal for rooms that require high quality images at a good price and can be optionally mounted on the ceiling or racks, resulting in an environmentally friendly solution.
