A countercurrent, a new impulse for independent production

Promoted by Adolfo Blanco Lucas and largely formed by the same partners and equipment that a few years ago launched NOTITA Films, this new project aspires to produce, acquire and distribute content in all traditional windows, as well as in emerging ones.

A countercurrent films has just seen the light as a new audiovisual project whose objective is to become one of the main independent ‘players’ in the world of cinematographic content. Promoted by Adolfo Blanco Lucas and formed largely by the same partners and equipment that a few years ago launched NOTITRO FILMS This new project aspires to produce, acquire and distribute content in all traditional windows, as well as in emerging ones.

This new company will apostate for European and independent quality cinema with a potential to reach a broad audience. Based in Catalonia, it will focus on the distribution and exploitation of rights, production and co -production of feature films for international film and television and sales.

Among the titles acquired for its premiere in Salas throughout 2010 are Reykjavik-Rotterdam, film produced and starring Baltasar Kormákur (101 Reykjavik, hidden truths) with indidason arnaldur script; The Cove, Oscar -nominated documentary and acclaimed by international criticism, which already has 8 public prizes at festivals such as Sunday, Stockholm or Sidney among others; and French comedies Treasure, Claude Berri's posthumous work that have already seen more than 1 million viewers in France, El Pastel de Boda (fitted piece) , the most recent project of Persepolis producers that will be released in France with more than 400 copies, and L’Arnacoeur (Heartbreaker) a glamorous romantic comedy in the style of Breakfast with diamonds starred by Vanessa Paradis.
