Impulsa TDT and RTVE have signed an agreement to promote DTT on public television in order to seduce the most resistant public to take the definitive step and complete the transition to DTT before March 30 of this year, the date on which There will be a total cessation of analogue broadcasts.

Based on the campaign The Shutdowns, composed of a series of spots directed by Álex de la Iglesia in which it warns of the imminent analogue blackout, TVE will broadcast several self-promotions in order to raise public awareness of the imminent arrival of the blackout that will be completed on March 30. These self-promos are in line with the spots broadcast last December and which these days can be seen again on the rest of the private and regional channels.

This new action to promote DTT on public television is the result of the agreement signed between the director of TVE, Santiago González and the president of Impulsa TDT, Eladio Gutiérrez. As happens in the advertising spots, Spanish Television's self-promotions will star "the Apagados", characters who, through fun everyday stories and with which the public can easily identify, it is intended that all Those people who, less than a month before the definitive cessation of analogue broadcasts, have not yet adapted to DTT, take the necessary steps to be able to enjoy the new television.

For Impulsa TDT and TVE, those most vulnerable to the risk of exclusion in the face of technological changes have special importance. For this reason, one of the self-promotions that the public channel will issue directly refers to those people who, due to their characteristics, age and isolated residence, require greater attention. That is to say, not only having the means, but also all the supportive collaboration that both the institutions and the relatives and neighbors most expert in these issues can provide to make the inevitable incorporation of DTT into their daily reality easier.
