Sony and the North American CBS have launched a pioneering project that aims to become one of the largest showcases for stereoscopy in the world. This is the Sony 3D Experience, a space that will expand the CBS Television City that the chain has in one of the largest and most populous hotels in the world, the MGM in Las Vegas.

David Poltrack, head of research at CBS, noted that "this new extension of our research center in Las Vegas has been designed to offer visitors greater familiarization with technology and content, especially thinking about 3D. It will also serve as a source for technology providers to study end-user behavior."

In recent months, CBS has been developing important experiences in the field of 3D, such as the production of the tribute to Michael Jackson during the last Grammys or the 3D digital signage displayed by its CBS Outdoor affiliate at Grand Central Station in New York.
